Piel canela (Cinnamon skin) by Eydie Gorme y Los Panchos (Mexico)

Spain, Spanish, Songs, Lyrics translated into English
Piel canela (Cinnamon skin) by Eydie Gorme y Los Panchos (Mexico)
Translation: Laura

Que se quede el infinito sin estrellas
Let the universe be without stars
O que pierda el ancho mar su inmensidad
or let the big sea loses its immensity
Pero el negro de tus ojos que no muera
but the black of your eyes, let it not die
Y el canela de tu piel se quede igual
and the cinnamon (color) of your skin remain the same

Si perdiera el arco iris su belleza
may the rainbow loose its beauty
Y las flores su perfume y su color
and (may loose) the flowers its perfume and color
No seria tan inmensa mi tristeza
Wouldnt be my sorrow as inmense
Como aquella de quedarme sin tu amor
as that (the sorrow) of loosing your love

Me importas tú y tú y tú
I care about you and you and you
Y solamente tú y tú y tú
and only about you and you and you
Me importas tú y tú y tú
I care about you and you and you
Y nadie mas que tú
and nobody else but you

Ojos negros, piel canela
black eyes, cinnamon skin
que me llegan a desesperar
that make me despair

Hola Laura
Muchas Gracias for the translation. I have loved this song since my high school days but never had the chance to "know" what it meant. I now sing this song as I play my guitar. I love Spanish so I listen to Spanish songs a lot. Love the language.

I absolutely love this song! My mother would play it for me and sing it to me when I was younger, now that I'm in high school I can enjoy it even more.
